This art form was developed in the XVIII century, inspired by the Grand Tour of Europe, which was a long trip to continental Europe made by the rich young British aristocracy in the XVII century and intended to complete their education with Departure and arrival in the same city. When they returned home from these trips brought with them souvenirs in black and white illustrations depicting the ruins of classical or Renaissance works. These illustrations were then used to decorate the halls of reading, which took the name of 'Print-Rooms'. Our paper Calambour Collection PR series is devoted to interior decoration, thanks to the fine decorative patterns, try to recreate a 'Print-Room' as a tribute to the art form still in use today by more refined interior decorators . The originals were painted with ink and watercolors by artists Pietro and Francesca Besso, respecting the colors used in the course of 1800.
